Atypical Histiocyte-Rich Sweet's Syndrome

چکیده
Sweet's Syndrome is a rare neutrophilic dermatosis thought to be a result of immune dysregulation occurring in the setting of drug exposure, recent infection, pregnancy, and underlying malignancy or idiopathic with specific and widely accepted diagnostic criteria established in the literature. Other organ systems can be involved with varying degrees of severity. An unusual case of Sweet's Syndrome associated with myopericarditis, acral involvement, and atypical histological findings with predominance of histiocytes is described here.

HISTIOCYTE-RICH B-CELL LYMPHOMA: A CASE REPORT OF A RARE VARIANT OF DIFFUSE LARGE B-CELL LYMPHOMA
The authors describe a case of histiocyte-rich B-cell lymphoma (HR-BCL), a variant of diffuse large B-cell lymphoma, in a 51-year-old man. The patient presented with large axillary lymphadenopathy. Histopathologic and immunohistochemical examination of lymph node biopsy revealed diffuse effacement of the lymph node architecture by reactive histiocytes and neoplastic CD20 positive B cells. ...
متن کاملSevere reactional state in lepromatous leprosy simulating Sweet's syndrome.
A male patient with underlying lepromatous leprosy mimicked Sweet's syndrome clinically. He was believed to be in an atypical reactional state recognized as a variant form of erythema nodosum leprosum. In addition to the antileprosy treatment, steroid hormone was required to control the systemic symptoms.
متن کاملNeutrophilic dermatoses: pyoderma gangrenosum and Sweet's syndrome.
Pyoderma gangrenosum and Sweet's syndrome are classified as neutrophilic dermatoses as they exhibit intense dermal inflammatory infiltrates composed of neutrophils with little evidence of a primary vasculitis. They share several characteristics and respond to immunosuppressives. Aetiology is felt to represent a manifestation of altered immunologic reactivity. Patients with both conditions concu...
متن کاملSweet's syndrome associated with pigmented villonodular synovitis.
Sweet's syndrome (acute febrile neutrophilic dermatosis) was first described in 1964. The typical symptoms of Sweet's syndrome are high temperature, peripheral leucocytosis, painful cutaneous rashes (papules, plaques) and arthralgia. Sweet's syndrome has particularly been described in association with neoplastic, infectious and immunological diseases. The pathogenesis of Sweet's syndrome can be...
متن کاملT-Cell/Histiocyte-Rich Large B-Cell Lymphoma Presented as T-Lymphoid Hyperplasia Involving the Central Nervous System
We herein report a case of T-cell/histiocyte-rich large B-cell lymphoma which initially presented as a self-limiting T-lymphoproliferative disorder involving multiple extranodal and extrapulmonary organs, such as the salivary gland, the liver, and the central nervous system. Repeated biopsies only revealed polyclonal T-lymphocytosis without the presence of atypical B-cells. Angiocentric cellula...
